FOIC raises over nine thousand dollars for ukraine humanitarian aid

On Sunday, March 20th, Far Out Ice Cream held a day long fundraiser to raise money for the World Central Kitchen to support them in their efforts to bring relief to the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis. The World Central Kitchen is working diligently to provide fresh meals to Ukrainians fleeing the country as well as partnering with local restaurants across twelve cities in Ukraine to provide meals to those still in the country. Far Out pledged 100% of Sunday's proceeds would go directly to WCK's efforts.
From WCK website:
Since the invasion of Ukraine, WCK’s Relief Team has been on the ground supporting families sheltering in the country as well as refugees arriving in Poland, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, and most recently, in Spain. Cooking out of our own Relief Kitchen in Przemysl, Poland and mobilizing a vast network of chefs and volunteers across all six countries, WCK is providing nearly 200,000 hot, nourishing meals every day. We’re also making daily food product deliveries into Ukraine and throughout the country for WCK restaurant partners cooking.
Through the help of the local Brookline Community, Far Out was able to raise $3,100 in proceeds alone and was generously matched by two donors, bringing the total to just over $9,000. Thank you to all who stopped by for this amazing cause!
If you weren't able to stop by Far Out and still want to contribute to WCK's efforts, you can donate directly HERE.
